Android Bluetooth Pairs for a Minute

  1. I accept paired the Moment with my car and have been able to make/receive calls. Sometimes it takes 5 or ten minutes to connect. Lately, it hasn't connected at all. I tried deleting the phone and re-pairing it, only that did not help. Yes, Bluetooth is ON. The car is listed on the Moment, stating "Paired only non Connected." Any ideas?

I had this effect too with my cars hands complimentary system. When setting it up my phone said paired simply not connected and I had to make information technology discoverable to make it connect again. Later on giving upwards the next day I noticed it connected. The simply change I had made was I turned off the phone overnight.

Perhaps a elementary power cycle would work? I also manage my bluetooth connectedness with ToogleBlu from the app market. Hope this helps.

I establish that if you click and hold the device you lot are paired with simply not connected you lot tin cull to unpair, then click information technology again and it connects.

I've got the same issue with a Motorola T505. I've got a shortcut to get into the wireless setting to apace enable the connection, but do you take an fifty-fifty quicker way?
  5. surfereddie

how the freak can this be and so difficult. bluetooth just sucks!!!
  6. MikeS

Is in that location an ETA for this first update? :) Any idea if it will also have a battery indicator fix?

Anybody know if at that place a process we could kill that would automatically restart to free up the memory leak?

I've had this problem several times with my phone and although it is somewhat of a hurting (and I should not accept to do this), I have been able to easily resolve information technology by:
    1) plow off bluetooth.
    2) turn the phone off and so dorsum on
iii) turn the bluetooth dorsum on, so
    4) plough on your bluetooth headset or turn on your car.
  8. MikeS

chixdigit, I have been playing with this for a few days. Seems all y'all need to do is power bicycle your phone in the morn before you lot go out for the day and bluetooth seems to work ok. Doesn't seem that turning bluetooth off and back on does anything information technology is the reboot. I haven't had information technology not work today and have tried it several dissimilar times hours autonomously.

Mine stays paired fine until I plough the headset off, and then plough it on later and I need to use the options on the phone to pair it up again. Not a big bargain I judge, it'due south not like it drops out on me.
  10. MikeS

Jim that is the problem. You lot shouldn't have to re-pair. A quick power off and on while walking to the car in the morning prevents that. I think after it is repaired it must restart whatever is having the memory result.

My Alpine system in my machine volition only Automatically connect with the 1st phone it is paired to. If you had other phones paired with the system yous may accept to clear them off of the motorcar system. Then Pair-it your principal phone. Y'all can then pair other phones but they will not automatically connect, yous have to manually connect from the phone.
  12. Power cycleing and unpairing are not fixing this with my married woman's moment and her garmin in the car
  13. I accept non been able to determine a blueprint for this. Sometimes information technology doesn't pair at all, other times it pairs after fifteen minutes. If it doesn't pair at all, then I can become another shot by ability cycling.

evilbeef54, when y'all say its not pairing, has information technology ever paired? Take you waited a really long time to see whether information technology volition pair? As I said, sometimes 15 minutes subsequently drivinging, I'll all of a sudden get "BLUETOOTH Connection SUCCESSFUL" on my car'south nav screen.

Mine Moment has been having BT problems as well with a BlueAnt headset. I recollect I have found a solution that for me at to the lowest degree works every time now:

Starting time turn on the headset or BT device.
Second, go into the Moment'due south Wireless screen and plow on Bluetooth (if it's already on, skip this step)
3rd, tap Bluetooth Settings and enter that menu. Your device should say "paired but non connected" Tap the device name so IMMEDIATELY tap "Scan for Devices"

Information technology should immediately pair up and say something like "connected to telephone audio"

An alternate thing to try is tapping the "Scan for Devices" start then IMMEDIATELY borer the device proper name.

For me, this is working 100% of the fourth dimension and it takes a lot longer to explicate how to practice information technology than to really do information technology, so it's non that big of a bargain for me. What matters to me equally that this works.

Is it every bit easy every bit it should be? No. I guess it still needs to be fixed.

Promise this helps someone. YMMV and all that.

I'yard trying to figure this out besides. Interesting that for the last few weeks mine was connecting on it's own (similar is should)....then a few days ago I was playing around in the GPS area trying to figure out why information technology says I'thousand non in the US, and now the bluetooth isn't connecting like information technology was. Coincidence? I don't think so! I was turning off and on the network/gps satellites check boxes.
  16. You lot may exist on to something. Sometimes my Moment thinks I'm in Sweden. I'thou not sure what I'm doing which causes this.

When I can't connect, I just go into the BT settings (via Curvefish's BT Widget) and click on the BT device, and while it'south trying to connect I click the connect/disconnect button on the BT device and it has worked every fourth dimension. Information technology is an annoying glitch. My boss constantly has to re-pair to his Audi, and I get to hear the complaints.

On a device note...I've been having great results with the Jabra SP700 speakerphone. Less than $twoscore new on ebay. No complaints from people on the other end, and the speaker is pretty loud. Plus I won't lose it like I accept headsets. Though my Discovery 975 is works well when I need privacy or am walking around.

what I've found to work, is turn on the BT setting on the telephone, and so turn on the BT device, & they automatically connect. (Haven't had to re-sync since I figured that out in Dec) When you want to turn off the BT device, turn off the BT setting on the phone 1st, then the BT device.
  19. danooooo

Since mine was connecting, I thought another app might exist causing it to not connect properly. I uninstalled "QuickSettings" but that wasn't the consequence so I'chiliad downloading it again. IMHO, information technology's the easiest manner to enable BT and as well pick the device to connect.
    It's Gratis!

@JohnnyCakes At that place'southward quite a bit of info re the GPS non showing correct location. From what I sympathize, it'south a software issue on the telephone. In one case yous detect the correct combination of GPS & Wireless Network & Wifi buttons (off and on), it'll prove the correct location for you. I don't think information technology's affecting the bluetooth connectedness, only I'm all the same testing.

I was having a connection event with my motorcar's bluetooth arrangement, but it wound up the motorcar'south bluetooth module could but shop 2 devices at a time and I hadn't deleted my last two phones.

At present my outcome is the Moment only reads my KCA-BT100 equally a headset and won't let me transfer the contacts to information technology. Anyone else encounter an issue like this in dealing with in-auto bluetooth and the Moment?

    -Eli

  21. I think that is a KCA-BT100 issue. The KCA-BT100 requires y'all to "send a business organisation card" for each contact entry; non sure whether the Moment tin can do that. But if yous can employ your sometime telephone to transport the contacts, then they should be available for use regardless which telephone is paired.
  22. I am having the same problem on my Droid with Android 2.01. The phone is paired with my BMW. It used to connect every bit soon as I started it up, merely present it oft doesn't connect at all unless I power cycle the phone. I downloaded a widget that turns BT on and off, and if I toggle it, it volition usually connect.

1 twenty-four hour period I was on a long drive and I was wondering if maybe it was just taking a long time, then I left it alone, and one time a call came in it finally connected.

I have this trouble with my telephone and computer. I cannot transfer files from the phone to my computer and information technology says "paired but not continued." Non solved when turning things off and on once more.

Also can't become pics to email from my phone to my figurer either. Comes through as 0 bytes every time.

Never had this trouble with my voyager so I know information technology's not my computer.
